Physical Education HLTA

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Education Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (PE HLTA) to join one of our vibrant client schools in Newcastle. As a PE HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting students' physical education and development by assisting teachers in delivering engaging, structured lessons.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the PE teacher in planning and delivering high-quality PE lessons, promoting a positive learning environment and encouraging student participation.
- Lead small groups of students in various physical activities and sports, fostering a sense of teamwork and camaraderie.
- Encourage all students to participate actively and support those with additional needs, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
- Promote health and fitness among students by leading warm-ups, exercises, and games, emphasizing the importance of physical activity.
- Manage student behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment, adhering to school policies and procedures.
- Assist with extra-curricular sports activities and events, contributing to the school's extracurricular program.
- Experience working as a HLTA or teaching assistant, preferably within PE, with a strong understanding of curriculum requirements.
- A relevant qualification or experience in sports coaching, with a focus on physical education and sports development.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage and engage pupils effectively.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one, ensuring a safe and secure learning environment.
