Data Analyst

ASA Recruitment is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing our data repository, ensuring it is accessible and functional for our project team.

1. Data Repository Management: Manage and enhance the current Access DB repository, creating queries and screens for easy data access and interrogation by the project team.
2. Data Output: Generate Excel outputs to prepare data for sharing with partner organisations.
3. Data Structuring: Extend the data structure to support the import, separation, and comparison of data from partner organisations, identifying matching/non-matching data and discrepancies.
4. Risk Advisory: Advise on the limitations and risks of the current Access DB, and manage the transition to an alternative data tool if needed.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with the Project Manager, Business Analyst, and internal/external stakeholders on data requirements and project specifications.

1. Expertise in Access DB and SQL database management (maintenance, querying, manipulation).
2. Proven experience in data modelling, reporting, analysis, and visualization.
3. Ability to design and build dashboards using tools like Excel, Caseware IDEA, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
4. Experience working on large-scale projects and engaging with stakeholders to define and implement reporting requirements.
5. Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to lead on data initiatives.
6. Must be able to support the transition to Apex Oracle after Excel.

1. Experience and knowledge of pensions.
2. Data analysis qualification.
3. 5+ years' experience as a data analyst.

Please note that initial on-site work may be required, with potential for remote work and occasional office attendance by prior arrangement.
