MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Description

Kier Group is seeking a highly skilled MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our MEP Division in the North East.

This role will be part of the KME team, which is the internal MEP self-delivery business within Kier Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with the project's procurement strategy, including subcontract inquiries and tender reviews.
  • Manage valuations, project cashflows, and turnover forecasts, including monthly cost reports and progress records.
  • Provide legal and contractual advice on orders and changes, handling notices and subcontractor administration.
  • Drive commercial initiatives, producing margin improvement plans and supporting team members in maximizing opportunities.
  • Lead and manage junior staff, ensuring workload targets, deadlines, and commercial tasks are met and updated monthly.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working for a Contractor and a Technical understanding of MEP systems.
  • A clear understanding of the different forms of contracts.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and part of a team.
