Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology Specialist

NHS Dumfries & Galloway is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology to join our Child & Adolescent Psychological Services team.
About the RoleThis 12-month fixed-term position offers a unique opportunity to work with children and young people presenting with mental health difficulties, as well as their parents and families.
As a Clinical Associate, you will deliver psychological therapies and parenting interventions, including group-based programs like Incredible Years and Triple P.
You will also support the training and supervision of other health professionals in using psychological approaches in their work.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver psychological therapies for children and young people with moderate difficulties
- Offer parenting interventions through 1:1 work and group-based programs
- Support training and supervision of other health professionals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
Our Child & Adolescent Psychological Services team is a dynamic and innovative group of professionals dedicated to providing high-quality care to children and families.
We work closely with Edinburgh and Stirling/Dundee Universities, providing placements and supervision for trainee CBT and other psychological therapists.
