Nicholas Associates Construction Careers is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in controlling costs of groundworks projects, ensuring they are running efficiently, effectively, profitably, and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage costs of groundworks projects to ensure timely and profitable completion.
  • Measure site works accurately and provide early cost advice to clients on variations.
  • Identify commercial risks and develop effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with buyers to undertake cost analysis and advise on procurement and cost control.
  • Produce cost value reports and value completed work to ensure timely payments.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and company production staff.
  • Allocate work to sub-contractors and assist with procurement when required.
  • Develop and support assistants and trainees.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
  • Strong understanding of cost control and commercial management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
