About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bank Chef to join our team at Adderley Green, a specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care service. As a Bank Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality food services to our residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring efficient and effective food preparation and service.
  • Maintain good food storage procedures and stock rotation, adhering to established protocols.
  • Prepare, plan, and cook meals to a consistently high standard, taking into account special requests and dietary requirements.
  • Serve food and beverages in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Participate in food costings through effective cost control procedures, contributing to the overall efficiency of the kitchen.
  • Adhere to 'Safer Food Better Business' standards and record-keeping, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all.
  • Assist the Head Chef in researching and creating new menus, ensuring meals meet high-quality standards and align with healthy eating guidelines.
Requirements
  • Be 18 years or older.
  • Hold GCSE or equivalent English.
  • Hold City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 (or equivalent) Basic Food Preparation Cooking.
  • Hold Basic Food Hygiene certification.
  • Have supervising qualification or be working towards it.
  • Have experience preparing and producing quality food to a high standard.
  • Have knowledge of menu planning and costing.
  • Have previous experience in delivering a service on mass.
