Job Title: Electrical Site Manager

Turner Lovell is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to oversee the construction of various HV energy infrastructure and datacentre projects across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Start-Up:
    • Assist the Project Manager in developing the construction programme, short-term look-ahead planning reports, equipment, and materials schedules.
    • Familiarize yourself with change management with the Project Manager.
    • Assist in project validation.
    • Prepare and review method statements and risk assessments with subcontractors.
    • Review construction drawings and sign off.
    • Assist in benchmarking installation practices and quality procedures.
  • Project Construction Phase:
    • Assist the project team in expediting major equipment deliveries.
    • Ensure labour allocation sheets are completed by subcontractors.
    • Effectively manage subcontractor supervision to enable efficient productivity.
    • Ensure subcontractor workforces are on site at the workface on time.
  • Liaison and Integration:
    • Liaise with subcontractors to address available work faces.
    • Integrate with other internal and external supervisors to ensure cross-coordination of trades and installation processes.
    • Take ownership and responsibility of issues to drive out solutions in conjunction with the Project Manager.
  • Health and Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Policy, particularly with the operation of work permits, site safety audits, and weekly walk-arounds.
  • Quality:
    • Mark up drawings in conjunction with inspection testing.
    • Ensure the inspection test plan is enforced by snagging works, then offering to the client for inspection at various stages of the installation, working towards ZERO snags.
    • Liaise with the commissioning engineer to ensure all systems are tested, demonstrated, and handed over.
    • Ensure all statutory notices, schematics, and wall charts are in place on site in accordance with the project completion checklist.
  • Training and Development:
    • Ensure your agreed training plan is enforced.
Requirements:
  • Recognized Electrical apprenticeship/trade certification coupled with a minimum of 5 years Site Management experience.
  • Experience in managing Electrical design and build projects in excess of €5 million.
  • IOSH certificate in environmental management and general NEBOSH certificate (not essential).
  • Strong computer abilities.
  • Communications: A strong communicator with excellent verbal and writing proficiency.
  • Planning and Organizing: An organized and adaptable individual with a flexible approach to work. Ability to manage and prioritize when leading multiple projects.
  • Deep understanding of constructability of projects.
  • Strong Commercial awareness.
  • Capable of building strategic relationships with third-party design groups.
