About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Multiskilled Apprentice to join our team at Coventry City Council. As a Property Maintenance Trainee, you will work alongside our experienced engineers to learn the skills and knowledge required to become a qualified Multiskilled Engineer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation and repair of doors, windows, locks, stair rails, and other building components.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and repair of pitched and flat roofs, including tiling, felt, slate, and flashings.
  • Support the plastering and floor screeding teams to ensure high-quality finishes.
  • Inspect and repair fire doors and ironmongery to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Participate in general bricklaying, wall construction, and adaptation works.
  • Assist in internal and external decorating, including wall coverings and textured finishes.
  • Support the maintenance and repair of disabled aids and portable and fixed fire appliances.
Training and Development

You will be supported to undertake a Level 2 Property Maintenance Operative apprenticeship standard. This is a fixed-term contract opportunity for 24 months.
