Spencer Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Headteacher to lead Highdown School and Sixth Form Centre on its journey to becoming a 'regional centre of excellence'.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a dedicated team of educators and driving academic success and great life chances for students. They will also be expected to develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes and contribute to the school's continued journey to 'Outstanding'.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the school's senior leadership team to achieve academic excellence and student success
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes and close the attainment gap
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop and deliver high-quality teaching and learning
- Monitor and evaluate student progress and attainment, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted interventions
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community
- Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and assessment policies
- Ensure the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students is upheld
