Warehouse Operations Manager

Clarke Transport, a family-run business with over 90 years of experience, is seeking an experienced Night Manager to lead our National Hub in the Heart of the Logistics Industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the effective management of our transport and operational night functions, ensuring seamless delivery services in the UK, Ireland, and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and team performance.
  • Manage and motivate a high-performing team, promoting a positive working culture and strong professional standards.
  • Plan, organize, and control operations across the Depot, including efficient management of vehicles and drivers, budgetary control, and service level maintenance.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including FORS, HSE, and Transport Legislation.
  • Collaborate with the Depot Manager and Supervisory team to implement policies, procedures, and business initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication and handover processes with the Depot Manager.
  • Manage staff resources, including allocation, training, and development.
  • Ensure high standards of professionalism among drivers and deckworkers.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in Transport Operations, with a proven track record of leadership and team management.
  • Prior experience in a Pallet Network or ADR environment is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects.
