Senior Town Planner Opportunity

Cobalt Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading town planning consultancy in London, seeking a Senior Town Planner to join their team.

This is a flexible role that could suit someone with MRTPI up to Senior-level experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong skill set and expertise in development management and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading on projects, assisting in delegating, and taking on a leadership role
  • Assisting seniors on major projects and managing a caseload of smaller and medium-scale applications
  • Maintaining relationships with clients, providing accurate advice, and communicating effectively
  • Dealing with pre-apps and managing planning applications through the development process
  • Communicating and negotiating with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities
  • Business development for senior candidates, or bringing in own clients
Requirements:
  • At least three years' experience, ideally within consultancy, or local planning authority experience
  • Strong skill set and expertise in development management and strategic planning
  • MRTPI or equivalent
  • Excellent written communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities
