About the Role

Arla Foods is seeking a highly motivated and organized Despatch Operator to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cold store functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Monitor and maintain the condition of our Automated Guided Vehicles, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Operate End of Line Palletisers and optimize workload to meet efficient pallet supply across the Dairy.
  • Ensure the availability and proper functioning of FLT batteries, performing recharging and replacement tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a warehousing or cold store environment is desirable, but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and contribute to regular team meetings.
  • A strong performer with a good attendance record and a willingness to learn further skills.

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, with a rotating shift pattern including days, nights, and weekends. A free shuttle bus service is available for collection and drop-off at shift start and end times.
