Job Summary:
The CSE Engineer provides technical support to the sales team to develop, sell and successfully implement elevator solutions that meet customer needs. This role involves taking ownership of the order handling process, defining specifications, details, dimensions, CAD, and layout drawings, and estimating installation and delivery times and costs.
Main Responsibilities:
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Supports the salesperson by analyzing customers' technical needs and developing proposals outlining how elevator solutions can provide clear solutions to meet these needs.
- Customer contact for technical questions. May participate in planning/specification meetings with contractors, architects, and owners.
- Attend meetings and coordinate with project design teams (developers, architects, main contractors, and structural and consulting engineers).
- Technical Sales Support:
- Provides technical and costing support for the sales process.
- Coordinates specifications and delivery times with the supply line, sourcing, or local subcontractors.
- Accountable for solution engineering.
- Ensures that the proposed solution fulfills codes, regulations, and safety requirements.
- To control costs and have a financial understanding of each project worked on.
- To provide all in-house engineering and technical advice across the product and process range.
- To carry out traffic analysis as required.
- Technical Support in the Delivery Process:
- Accountable for solution engineering.
- Accountable for technical site surveys.
- Organizes the order process and documentation.
- To create a plan for each project and ensure the project runs to schedule.
- Manages the drawing and related documents.
- Makes the material specifications for elevator solutions and local materials. Checks and updates the specification based on contract and variations.
- Organizes the purchasing of required materials.
- Site inspections as required.
- Arranges and completes the project handover process to operations teams.
- Adherence to company ISO procedures.
Requirements:
- Engineering/technical background (diploma/degree in mechanical engineering preferable) or equivalent elevator engineering experience.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Must be customer-focused with excellent attention to detail.
- Basic AutoCAD experience. Although training will be made available.
- Revit & Navisworks experience is desirable.
- IT literacy. Fluent in Microsoft Office 365.
- Previous experience of elevator industry and capability to survey and assess existing equipment is desirable.
- Enthusiastic about engineering and willing to learn.
