This contractor serves a diverse clientele, including prestigious corporations, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities, functioning as the primary or principal contractor. They provide a wide array of fit-out services, encompassing electrical design and installation projects, as well as the design, supply, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire alarm and related systems, all under their NSI Silver accreditation.

Job Responsibilities

We are seeking to appoint an Electrical Operations Manager on a full-time permanent basis. In this role, you will:

  • Oversee teams of specialized subcontractors on-site, focusing on the installation of fire alarms, Public Address and Voice Alarm (PAVA) systems, panels, and aspirating pipework within large Data Centres.

The initial project will be located in the vicinity of Enfield and is expected to span approximately one year, with additional projects anticipated thereafter. When not engaged on-site, you will operate from the London office, managing similar projects across central London.

On-site parking is available, and public transport options are conveniently located within a short walking distance, allowing for travel allowances to be provided.

Candidate Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in roles such as Electrical Supervisor, Charge Hand, Project Engineer, or equivalent.

Ideally, candidates should reside in proximity to Waltham Cross and be willing to travel into Central London as necessary. A strong background in large-scale industrial installations or fit-outs is essential, with specific experience in:

  • Containment
  • Trunking
  • PAVA systems
  • Fire Alarms
  • Control Panels
  • Aspirating pipework

Experience within Data Centre environments is preferred. Relevant qualifications, including 18th Edition, Test and Inspect, Working at Height, PASMA, and SSSTS, are advantageous.
