Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Blue Octopus Recruitment Ltd. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out general maintenance and repairs to customer's homes, including responsive repairs and minor works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To carry out a wide range of high-quality repairs to domestic dwellings, utilizing most craft trade skills, including diagnosing and rectifying faults, in accordance with the Company's repair obligations, to the customer's satisfaction as far as possible.
  • To accurately account for all materials used in carrying out works orders, and to maintain an adequate van stock to enable all normal minor repairs to be effected on one visit.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • To maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • To stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in wet trades, drylining, and masonry.
  • Additional experience of basic carpentry, wall tiling, patch plastering, and painting and decorating.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic DBS check required.
