Gameplay Programmer - Behaviour Interactive

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Gameplay Programmer to join our dynamic team at Behaviour Interactive, the largest Canadian gaming studio. As a Gameplay Programmer, you will be responsible for implementing new gameplay mechanics and contributing to improving existing ones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Debug and optimize code at both low and high levels to ensure optimal performance and quality.
  • Work within a cross-discipline team on the development of various game features, mostly related to the 3C or usability (general game mechanics).
  • Collaborate with the programming team to maintain code quality and best practices, particularly in replication/networking best practices in gameplay programming.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in gameplay programming with at least one game shipped.
  • Experience working with Unreal4 or Unreal5 on networking games/online multiplayer games.
  • Good understanding of a client/server environment in Unreal Engine.
  • Comfortable programming in C++.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with multiplatform and live games.
