About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at NHS Property Services. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing essential maintenance services to support the delivery of excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and wellbeing policies, as well as technical guidance, processes, and procedures.
- Implement new or revised practices and policies within your work area.
- Deliver scheduled, reactive, and remedial maintenance services as directed by the PPM planner, helpdesk, or Technical Services Supervisor.
- Perform tasks such as fault finding, minor repairs, installations, and maintaining services and equipment in critical environments.
- Assess problems to determine the best course of action, including complex technical issues, and communicate technical information to various stakeholders.
- Maintain effective site log books at all NHS premises, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Requirements:
- At least one of the following qualifications: BTEC City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating, or formal apprenticeship or craft-trained equivalent.
- Driving license is essential.
- Ability to work alone and/or as part of a wider team.
- On-call availability.
- Desirable to have industry experience.
