Job Title: Police Staff Investigator Professional Investigation Programme

This role is for a PIP level 1 staff member. We are seeking a resilient, driven, and flexible individual to join our busy Domestic Abuse Investigation team based in North and West Devon.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a workload of domestic related crimes and conducting secondary investigations, including interviewing suspects and preparing case files. They will work alongside a team of investigators and a supervisor, as well as the safeguarding team and other departments/agencies.

Training and support will be provided. Ideally, the successful candidate would have some experience with conducting investigations and be PIP1 qualified. However, this is not necessary, and all applicants will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a workload of domestic related crimes
  • Conduct secondary investigations, including interviewing suspects and preparing case files
  • Work alongside a team of investigators and a supervisor
  • Collaborate with the safeguarding team and other departments/agencies

Requirements:

  • PIP1 qualification (desirable)
  • Experience with conducting investigations (desirable)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
