Consultant Physician in General Internal Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Physician in General Internal Medicine to join our team at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our services.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat a wide range of clinical problems, including complex medical conditions and multi-morbidity.
- Lead clinical teams and provide guidance and support to junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the development of our services, including the design and implementation of new clinical pathways and protocols.
- Participate in education and training, including the supervision of junior doctors and the development of educational programs.
- Engage in research and quality improvement activities, including the design and implementation of studies and the analysis of data.

Requirements- MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent medical qualification.
- MRCP or equivalent specialist registration.
- Full registration and a license to practice with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Entry on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register via Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR).
- Broad exposure to medical diseases and their comprehensive management.
- Management of patients with multi-morbidity.
- Skills in cross-specialty collaboration and/or liaison working.
- Experience of undergraduate teaching and postgraduate training.
