Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior Scrub Practitioner

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Scrub Practitioner to join our team at Leaders in Care. As a Senior Scrub Practitioner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety in our operating theatres.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play the circulation role and promote a patient-centred approach in partnership with healthcare experts.
  • Complete scrub duties in line with policies and procedures, enhancing quality control, and promoting evidence-based practice.
  • Perform all tasks professionally and competently, including mandatory surgical examinations before, during, and prior to wound closure.
  • Organise, control, prepare, and manage the use of surgical instruments and medications for various surgical procedures.

Requirements:

  • Registered General Nurse with valid NMC registration or an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with a valid HCPC pin.
  • Proven track record of working within an operating theatre with relevant scrub procedures.
  • General scrub and circulating skills across a varied range of patient cases.
