Job Summary

The Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a rotational Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including brain injury inpatients, brain injury outpatients, stroke rehabilitation, and sub-acute general medicine short stay rehab.

Main Duties

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing patients' needs and developing personalized treatment plans to help them achieve their goals. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care and support to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote independence and well-being
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support
  • Provide education and training to patients and their families on occupational therapy techniques and strategies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • A degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Relevant experience of working with patients with brain injury and neurological conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
