Chief Executive Officer Opportunity

We are seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead the National Alternative Protein Innovation Centre (NAPIC) in revolutionising the UK's agri-food sector. As a senior Research and Development leader, you will drive strategic development and innovation in the alternative protein sector, leveraging our world-leading science base to create a sustainable, high-growth bioeconomy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for NAPIC, aligning with the University of Leeds' goals and the UK's alternative protein innovation ecosystem.
  • Lead a team of researchers and developers to advance alternative protein technologies and products, ensuring commercial viability and market readiness.
  • Collaborate with industry partners, academia, and government agencies to foster a cohesive and innovative alternative protein community.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and personnel to achieve NAPIC's objectives and ensure operational efficiency.
