About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Dietitian to join our dynamic team at The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing comprehensive nutritional care to patients across a range of clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering evidence-based nutritional assessments and interventions to patients with complex needs, including those requiring surgical support, gastroenterology care, and critical care.
  • Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on a variety of nutritional topics to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and contributing to the ongoing development of clinical guidelines and protocols.

Essential Qualifications

  • A recognized qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Proven experience working as a Registered Dietitian within a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in providing nutritional support to patients with complex medical conditions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Clinical Supervisory Skills Course completion.
  • Advanced Diploma in Dietetic Practice.
  • Postgraduate courses in Nutritional Support.
  • Experience working with surgical patients, gastroenterology patients, and critical care patients.
  • Leadership skills and experience in delivering clinical education.
