Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Rights of Way Team Leader to join our team at AWD online. As a key member of our Community, Heritage, Blue and Green Infrastructure team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the management and maintenance of existing PRoWs and leading on the DMMO process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support a team of direct reports in the management and maintenance of existing PRoWs
  • Lead on the DMMO process, working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Develop and implement Capital PRoW projects, engaging with a variety of stakeholders to respond to changing demands and priorities
  • Identify and develop opportunities to improve the rights of way network across the Borough
  • Support the achievement of key priorities, making a real difference to the preservation and enhancement of the area, particularly as it relates to PRoWs
  • Provide pre-application advice, briefing Forums, Stakeholder engagement, determining applications, presenting recommendations to Committee and working closely with developers and promoters
  • Protect, preserve or enhance the area's ecological, conservation, heritage, landscape, rights of way and tree assets through the provision of advice or timely procurement of regulatory and enforcement action by others where expedient

Requirements

  • Sound experience within Public Rights of Way
  • Leadership / Supervisory skills
  • Project management experience
  • Confident communicator and negotiator
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the PRoW DMMO process
  • Self-reliant
  • Can-do attitude
  • Able to engage with a variety of stakeholders and strengthen working relationships at all levels
