Accounts Payable Specialist

Future Publishing is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Analyst to join our team in Bath. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional Accounts Payable services to the business, our suppliers, and our contributors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure service level agreements and main performance metrics are met and maintained.
- Act as a point of escalation for queries from the team and other partners, investigating and resolving issues promptly.
- Ensure accuracy of invoice and payments processing.
- Review payments and invoices for potential fraud or errors, escalating potential risks to management.
- Contribute to the improvement of accounts payable processes and metrics.
- Ensure key controls are performed.
- Support a clean AP ledger and contribute to clean Supplier master data.
- Perform other AP tasks, including maintaining process documentation.
Requirements:
- Experience in Accounts Payable or a transactional role equivalent.
- Ability to manage escalations, queries, and complaints with constructive communication with all levels of stakeholders.
- Service-focused approach to supporting the business.
- Ability to interrogate data quickly and accurately.
- Experience working on a modern finance system in a large business.
- Working knowledge of Excel, including maintaining complex spreadsheets and performing complex functions.
