Job Description

Job Title: Financial Analyst - Pension Fund Specialist

Job Type: Interim, 6 months (possible extension)

Salary: £180-£280 per day

Location: Bedfordshire

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Sellick Partnership. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the Pension Fund's financial accounting and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage bank reconciliations and posting journals for pension contributions
  • Chase late payments of contributions and monitor contributions
  • Raise purchase orders and sales orders, process invoices, and calculate recharges to employers
  • Investigate and resolve interface and suspense account discrepancies
  • Prepare VAT monthly returns to the Borough and associated reconciliations
  • Coordinate stationery orders and support closure of accounts, accruals, and prepayments

Requirements:

  • AAT qualified (preferred)
  • Significant relevant experience in finance, with a strong understanding of complex financial systems
  • Excellent Excel skills, with experience in using large spreadsheets and formulas
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience working in a large, complex organization in a finance role
