About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Development Account Manager to join our team at Benefact Group plc. As a key member of our commercial insurance sales team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers in the South West Region.

Your primary objective will be to proactively manage and develop these relationships to generate sustainable and profitable growth through new business and retention. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer outcomes and support the delivery of regional account plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a successful contact strategy for each broker, ensuring a high-quality sales process and long-term outlook.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Ecclesiastical UK to leverage business relationships and ensure agreed strategies are implemented effectively.
  • Act within Ecclesiastical's risk appetite to target, win, and retain business in our core market sectors, delivering profitable growth in line with plan.
  • Support the renewal process and represent all areas of Ecclesiastical UK's Intermediated business, including Specialist Niches, Art and Private Client, Real Estate, and Schemes.
  • Work proactively with colleagues in the technical support functions (Claims, Risk, and Underwriting) to deliver exceptional service and propositions to our brokers and their customers.
Requirements
  • Strong track record in a commercial insurance sales role within the UK market.
  • Proven ability to build productive relationships internally and externally.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of tactical marketing campaigns and ability to identify such opportunities.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage own work to deliver agreed objectives and meet targets.
  • Proactive with a desire to continuously improve.
  • Cert CII or commitment to achieve within an agreed timescale.
  • Appropriate IT and data skills (including Microsoft suite).
  • Effective and appropriate communication skills.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional service contributing both as an individual and as an effective team member.
  • Understanding of all relevant regulations to deliver good customer outcomes.
  • Understanding of data protection and the importance of confidentiality.
