Position Overview

AG Barr is seeking a Commercial Assistant to work part-time, totaling 16 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling. This role will support the Morrisons account team within the broader sales function. The Commercial Assistant will play a vital role in various aspects of the commercial business unit, including promotional loading and evaluation, budget tracking, data analysis, and report generation for senior management. You will leverage multiple data sources from both internal and external platforms to provide insights on customer and field objectives.

Key Responsibilities

As a Commercial Assistant, your duties will encompass:

  • Managing and updating weekly customer tasks to ensure accuracy in all reports.
  • Reconciling promotional expenditures using customer trackers and templates to ascertain the correct funding owed, including forecasts.
  • Supporting promotional loading and overseeing the management of the Demantra system, processing invoices, evaluating promotions, and finalizing accruals.
  • Completing customer templates and submissions for promotional proposals as determined by the Business Unit, captured on the promotional calendar to enhance sales.
  • Creating and maintaining category reports and dashboards (IRI/Kantar) to assist the business unit in developing insights regarding specific customers.
  • Providing additional administrative support related to the business unit as needed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Google Docs and Excel, with the ability to learn new systems (Demantra, Ultralysis, Cognos, IRI, Kantar).
  • A high level of numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work flexibly and responsively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and presenting effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to manage time effectively, with the potential for remote work.
