About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Risk Management Specialist to join our team at NFU Mutual. As a key member of our Loss Control team, you will play a vital role in shaping our risk management strategies and providing expert advice to our customers.

As a Risk Management Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting thorough underwriting risk assessments across various sectors, including domestic, commercial, and bespoke. You will work closely with our Underwriting teams to provide valuable technical insights and support informed insurance decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed underwriting risk surveys for various customers
  • Contribute significantly to reducing risk and losses within the company
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, agents, and brokers
  • Provide expert advice on risk management strategies and mitigation techniques
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and effective risk management

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in risk management and loss prevention practices across diverse insurance risks
  • Strong technical knowledge of current risk management and loss prevention practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interpret underwriting requirements and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Relevant experience and knowledge from roles in Underwriting, Claims, Surveying, Commercial Engineering, or related disciplines
