The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all assigned duties and tasks are carried out in compliance with statutory legal requirements and the company's quality, health & safety, and environmental policies. This will involve adhering to company policies and procedures, performing routine checks and calibrations, and maintaining the required standards.
The role will also involve assisting the Maintenance team to ensure the safe, standardised, and efficient maintenance of all plant and equipment as per planned routines and statutory requirements. This will include the completion of all documentation to satisfy these requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Engineering Manager to plan shutdown work and intrusive safety-critical jobs, ensuring that all equipment is up to date and defects are suitably managed. They will also be responsible for ensuring that all project plans, improvements, repairs, and shutdown works are performed to the appropriate standard, ensuring coordination of resources for the flawless execution of works to agreed timescales.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and project management experience, including CDM regulations. They will be able to create clear and concise plans to execute and monitor progress of routine tasks, equipment repairs, and project work, keeping the site management team up to date. They will also be able to encourage good communications and reporting from engineering teams, providing timely feedback on tasks, any remaining faults, breakdowns, isolations in place, and any accidents, incidents, or near misses that have occurred.
