Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate all nursing activities within the theatre, ensuring adherence to best practices and protocols.
- Ensure the availability and readiness of all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies for each surgical procedure.
- Monitor and maintain a sterile environment within the theatre, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Lead and manage a team of theatre nurses, healthcare assistants, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Oversee staff scheduling and allocate resources effectively to ensure adequate coverage for all surgical procedures.
- Conduct regular performance appraisals, providing constructive feedback and identifying opportunities for professional development.
- Identify training needs and organize in-house training sessions or external professional development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of the theatre staff.
- Fully qualified General nurse, Mental health nurse, or Learning disability nurse.
- 6+ months Charge/Lead Theatre Nurse experience.
- Valid NMC registration.
- Advanced Life Support Certification.
