About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Caretaker to join our Estate Services team based in the West Midlands. As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for providing an excellent caretaking service, including communal cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning doors and windows. The role will involve lone working, but you will be part of a wider team of Caretakers and will provide cover to other schemes when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake general caretaking duties, including cleaning communal areas, removing bulk waste, and tidying bin stores.
  • Perform grounds maintenance tasks, such as litter picking and general upkeep.
  • Work with customers to resolve issues and improve services.
  • Complete all documents and paperwork concerning tasks completed.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition.
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks.
  • British Institute Certificate in Cleaning Services (BICS) would be advantageous.
  • Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery.
  • Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritizing workloads.
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Flexible with good communication and customer care skills.
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
