Role Overview:

Our Graduate GROW programme is a structured 3-year development programme designed to help you evolve into an experienced professional in your chosen field. You'll benefit from training, mentoring, and support to develop your skills and achieve relevant accreditations. As a GROW graduate, you'll be empowered to drive your career and exposed to various experiences to gain the skills you need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing technical support for all RIBA stages, including design, construction, and post-construction, for various built environments and sectors.
  • Contribute to complex high-profile schemes and smaller projects, enhancing fire safety and adding value to clients.
  • Develop skills in computational simulation modelling and digital solutions.

Requirements:

  • Accepted degrees: MEng (or MSc) Fire Engineering, Fire Safety Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Understanding of Hazard Identification, ALARP, Fire Risk Assessment principles, fire dynamics, heat transfer, and smoke behaviour principles in enclosed environments.
  • Basic understanding of Active Fire Protection (AFP) and Passive Fire Protection (PFP) systems, and/or basic knowledge of fire modelling simulation using zone models.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduating in or having recently graduated with at least a 2:2 in a relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • Demonstrating typical Arcadian skills, including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking, and being a Team Player.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to use technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required.
