We are seeking a Logistics Operations Coordinator to become a vital part of a renowned global organization leading in its sector. This role offers opportunities for professional growth and stability within a dynamic environment.

This newly created position is dedicated to expanding and enhancing both European and UK domestic logistics business prospects while ensuring the smooth operation of current logistics activities. A solid understanding of road transport and customs clearance is essential.

This role primarily focuses on operational tasks with a commercial emphasis on negotiating favorable transport rates and providing quotes for our services to both existing and prospective clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process customer orders for outbound shipments efficiently.
  • Identify and implement the most effective and economical transport solutions to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules with recipients and delivery locations.
  • Engage with transport partners to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and arrange bookings.
  • Ensure timely processing of all transport partner invoices.
  • Invoice clients in accordance with our internal KPIs.
  • Collect Proof of Delivery (POD) after shipments, updating our operational system with key milestones.
  • Onboard new transport partners, ensuring all necessary documentation is obtained.
  • Collaborate closely with our customs team to facilitate import/export customs documentation.
  • Investigate any delivery discrepancies, updating our non-conformity system and providing customers with root cause analysis and preventive measures.
  • Maintain effective communication with team members, clients, and management.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for logistics operations as needed.
  • Complete all reports, including internal and client-specific, within established deadlines, including customer KPIs.
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned by management.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Proven experience and knowledge in EU and UK domestic logistics operations.
  • Strong negotiation capabilities.
  • Familiarity with freight management software; prior experience with Cargowise is advantageous.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Desirable knowledge of EU export and import customs clearance.
