Tutoring Specialist

We're a Northern charity dedicated to providing high-quality tutoring to young people who need it most. Our mission is to unlock their potential by offering subsidised tutoring in Maths, English, and Science.
As a tutor with The Tutor Trust, you'll work directly with Primary schools across Greater Manchester, Merseyside, and Leeds-Bradford city regions. You'll plan and deliver tuition for groups of up to three pupils, forming impactful relationships with them over the course of a 15-week assignment.
About the role
- You'll tutor in Primary (Maths and Reading).
- You'll work on a self-employed basis.
- Tutoring usually takes place during the school day on the school premises.
What we're offering
As a tutor with The Tutor Trust, you'll:
- Earn £21 minimum per hour of tuition.
- Work with small groups of pupils – either 1:1 or 1:3.
- Gain key teaching skills from our core tutor training programme.
- Have access to ongoing support and Continued Professional Development (CPD) opportunities.
What we're looking for
- At least three hours' availability a week to deliver tutoring.
- A grade of B/6 in English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check, provided and paid for by The Tutor Trust.
- Ability to register as self-employed in the UK.
