Senior Technician - BCP

BCP Engineering is on the lookout for a dedicated Senior Technician to enhance our composite panels division (BCP) at our facility.

We are in search of a proficient and seasoned Senior Technician to become a vital part of our innovative team at a premier manufacturer of composite structures. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and executing technical operations, upholding the utmost standards of quality and efficiency in the production of composite structures.

Your role will encompass the intricate manufacturing and assembly of products, strictly following established specifications and guidelines. Responsibilities will include performing final inspections and adjustments to detect and correct any imperfections, ensuring the delivery of superior products to our clientele.

BCP specializes in a diverse range of composite products serving the Rail, Marine, Aerospace, Automotive, and Architectural sectors, in addition to supporting the industrial digital printing market through the production of specialized vacuum tables.

The position entails:

  • High-standard assembly of BCP products
  • Conducting quality assessments and inspections to ensure adherence to industry regulations
  • Providing a professional and quality service throughout all production phases
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges in the manufacturing workflow
  • Demonstrating proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Meeting quality benchmarks and deadlines for order deliveries
  • Completing documentation in compliance with all necessary procedures, necessitating a basic understanding of computer systems
  • Working independently with a flexible approach to various work scenarios
  • Engaging in some heavy lifting as required
  • Training colleagues when requested
  • Collaborating with Engineering to enhance processes, design, and product quality

Preferred qualifications include knowledge and experience in manufacturing non-metallic composite components (such as Carbon Fibre), though this is not essential. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with colleagues and clients through effective communication are crucial.

Additionally, familiarity with 3D solid geometries and the ability to utilize e-Drawings and basic Solidworks would be advantageous.
