A reputable manufacturing organization is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to enhance their operational team.

Role Overview:

The Industrial Maintenance Technician will be responsible for:
  • Performing routine electrical and mechanical upkeep and repairs on all machinery, equipment, and facilities.
  • Collaborating with the Engineering Manager, Shift Managers, and other team members to provide maintenance support during shifts.
  • Conducting fault diagnosis and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Identifying and documenting necessary materials and components to address breakdowns and repairs.
  • Resolving breakdowns and implementing improvements across all machinery and processes.
  • Utilizing multi-testing equipment to detect and rectify faults within control systems.
  • Maintaining accurate records of repairs and inspections performed.
  • Ensuring timely ordering of parts required for machine repairs through the appropriate channels.
  • Adhering to the highest standards of work and compliance with the Company's Health and Safety Policy.
  • Following best practices and contributing to a team-oriented culture of success.
  • Completing end-of-shift reports detailing work completed during the shift.
  • Providing handover information for the incoming shift and engineering department.
  • Participating in training as needed to uphold high-quality work standards.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management, in line with the technician's training and expertise.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess a background in engineering as a Maintenance Technician and should have the following qualifications and experience:
  • Preferably hold an electrical qualification such as C&G, HNC, HND, or equivalent.
  • Ideally possess 17th/18th edition wiring regulations certification.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting is essential.
  • Proficiency in pneumatic fault finding is required.
  • Ability to interpret complex electrical schematics is essential.

Desirable Experience:

Familiarity with modern control systems, including:
  • PLC fault finding
  • Drives and Controls
  • Encoders, sensors, and feedback systems
  • CNC machine controls
  • Modifications to electrical and electronic circuits
  • Retrofitting drives and configuring parameters
  • Some involvement in installation projects
