Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Hotel Maintenance Team Member to join our team at Holiday Inn Guildford.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair Work: Carry out regular maintenance and repair work on the hotel's equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to any maintenance requests or emergencies, and address them in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Facilities Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of the hotel's facilities and equipment to identify any maintenance issues and ensure that they are addressed promptly.
  • Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of all maintenance work, including expenses, work completed, and parts used.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Assist with the implementation of preventative maintenance programs to ensure that all equipment and facilities are well-maintained and in good working order.
  • Contractor Management: Assist with the management of external contractors and suppliers, including ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and within budget.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety guidelines and ensure that all maintenance work is carried out safely.
  • Additional Tasks: Assist with other tasks and projects as required by the Maintenance Manager or senior management.

Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working in a maintenance role in a hotel or similar environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical skills and a good understanding of building and facility systems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork: The ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility: A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to work evenings and weekends if required.
  • Health and Safety: A good understanding of health and safety guidelines and procedures.
