Job Title: Vehicle Installation Electrician

We are currently recruiting for a number of Vehicle Installation Electricians for permanent positions based in Ballymena.

Job Summary:

As a Vehicle Installation Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation and test of chassis and body electrical control systems in accordance with customer specification, ensuring the necessary quality standards are maintained and adhered to.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that work carried out is to the company agreed quality standard and ensure that all such quality sign offs, and procedures are complied with.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the vehicle electrical control system is installed to the specification requirements as detailed by the relevant documentation.
  • Responsible for the installation and modification of vehicle wiring harnesses and components as detailed in the contract build documentation.
  • Responsible for the termination of various automotive and high voltage connections up to 800V AC or DC.
  • Responsible for the test and commissioning of the vehicle electrical system as per Quality Assurance documentation.
  • Responsible for the fault finding and repair of the vehicle electrical system using bespoke diagnostic software.
  • Responsible for ensuring the installation is completed in accordance with the allocated process time.
  • Must be prepared to work overtime when requested by management.
  • Undertake any training or retraining associated with the post, or introduction of new working practices or engineering changes including the training of others.
  • Ensure work is completed to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard.
  • You must maintain high standards of personal accountability.
  • Staying away from home on occasions will be necessary to meet the requirements of the role.
  • Completing basic administrative tasks, filling in company forms or documents, WMPs.
Working Hours:
  • Monday to Thursday
  • 07:00 to 17:00
