Payroll Manager

TPF Recruitment, a leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is seeking a seasoned Payroll Manager to join a growing firm of chartered accountants. This hybrid position offers a great work-life balance, with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management, with experience leading a diverse client portfolio. They will oversee the payroll for a portfolio of around 130 clients, providing exceptional support to the wider team and partners.
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple payrolls for a diverse client portfolio, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Support the team in payroll and benefits processes, providing guidance and expertise.
- Manage queries related to tax, benefits, salary, and allowances, resolving issues promptly.
- Prepare and submit P11D's, Annual Returns, and CIS Returns, ensuring compliance.
- Process P60s, P45s, start letters, and induction documentation, maintaining accurate records.
- Manage auto-enrolment processes, ensuring seamless implementation.
- Act as a mentor and leader to junior team members, providing guidance and support.
- Stay up-to-date with statutory pay claims and processes, ensuring compliance.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the firm's payroll offering, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Demonstrable experience of leading payroll for a varied client portfolio (150 clients).
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- A can-do attitude to problem-solving, with a proactive approach.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
- A team player, able to mentor or work with other team members, promoting a collaborative environment.
- Motivated, with high standards and a commitment to excellence.
- Competitive salary range: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum.
