Materials Handler

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Materials Handler to join our team at Thorlabs. As a key member of our production support team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate handling, transaction, and movement of materials across our production floor.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and store all incoming items in the designated location, conducting visual inspections as required.
- Replenish point-of-use stock locations as needed, following standard work procedures.
- Provide production support activities, including cleaning components, laser etching, and generating serial number labels.
- Escalate any quality concerns to the line manager or Quality team to ensure faulty parts are not sent to the production floor.
- Maintain a tidy and clean stores area, adhering to 5S principles.
- Detail-oriented and able to work in a structured way, following standard work procedures and workflows.
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with Production, Distribution, and Quality teams.
- Computer literate, with the ability to learn and use ERP systems for stock transactions.
- Demonstrated experience within a stores/logistics function is desirable.
