Position Overview

At SecureCloud+, we are in search of a skilled and passionate Automation Platform Specialist to enhance our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient delivery of innovative services from our operations.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will undertake a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Designing and executing automation solutions for the deployment, monitoring, and management of both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Leading initiatives to refine automation methodologies that improve development workflows and optimize release cycles.
  • Implementing and overseeing CI/CD pipelines focused on automation to facilitate seamless platform deployment and continuous integration.
  • Creating and managing infrastructure as code (IaC) to ensure consistency and reliability.
  • Utilizing containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes to automate the deployment and scaling of applications.
  • Working collaboratively with various teams to embed automation throughout the platform deployment and support processes.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest trends and best practices in platform automation, DevOps, and cloud-native technologies, and advocating for their integration within the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field with a strong emphasis on automation.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, particularly in automation contexts.
  • Experience with cloud service providers like AWS or Azure, focusing on automating infrastructure deployment and management.
  • A solid background in configuration management tools, particularly Ansible, with a focus on automation.
  • Familiarity with source control management tools.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift, emphasizing automation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving automation-related issues.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, enabling effective collaboration within a team environment.

Security Clearance

UK Security Check (SC) clearance is mandatory for this role. Candidates must either possess or be eligible to obtain SC clearance, with the potential for UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance as necessary.
