The Custom Fabricator - Nights will be a key member of our team at TAIT, working closely with Fabricators and Mechanical Engineers to deliver high-quality projects to our clients. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of metal components or structures.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Design and set up fabricating jigs and custom templates as needed.
- Interface with other departments to solve problems and improve processes.
- Observe and implement processes that support the wider business.
- Take an active role in site safety and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve manufacturing excellence.
- Mark and label assemblies manufactured to ensure ownership and identification.
- Communicate effectively with line managers and colleagues.
- Aluminium TIG welding in accordance with ISO 10042 Quality level B.
- Carbon Steel MAG welding in accordance with ISO 5817 Quality Level B.
- Complete work allocated to company standards.
- Maintain delivery of quality projects to scheduled department/delivery dates.
- Assemble and fabricate parts/products using tools/equipment according to specifications in a manufacturing environment.
- Work with other departments to problem solve.
- Use individual training platforms to facilitate personal growth.
- Ensure that the working environment is safe and housekeeping is kept to a high standard.
