Position Overview:
Linsco is seeking an Associate Quantity Surveyor to oversee the financial and contractual elements of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Estimation:
    Develop comprehensive cost assessments for various project phases, from initial design to completion. Manage and oversee project budgets to ensure financial targets are achieved. Track expenditures and implement cost management strategies to avoid budget excesses.
  • Contract Management:
    • Contract Negotiation:
      Engage in negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure advantageous contract terms.
    • Contract Administration:
      Oversee contract execution, ensuring compliance from all involved parties.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Valuations and Payments:
      Conduct periodic evaluations of ongoing work and prepare detailed reports for interim and final payments.
    • Financial Reporting:
      Generate precise financial reports, including cost assessments, forecasts, and budget analyses.
  • Cash Flow Management:
    Supervise and manage project cash flows to maintain sufficient liquidity throughout the project duration.
  • Risk Management:
    • Risk Assessment:
      Identify and evaluate potential financial risks associated with the project and devise strategies to mitigate them.
    • Dispute Resolution:
      Address any contractual disagreements or financial challenges in a timely and effective manner.
  • Cost Analysis:
    Monitor project expenses against budgets and forecasts, analyzing discrepancies. Identify opportunities for cost reductions and value enhancements without compromising quality or timelines.
  • Team Collaboration:
    Collaborate closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other team members to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensure all project costs and contractual commitments adhere to applicable regulations and industry standards. Maintain thorough and accurate records of all financial transactions, contracts, and communications.
  • Professional Development:
    Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in quantity surveying and construction cost management. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance cost management processes and improve project financial outcomes.
