About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Business Analyst - Accounts Receivables Lead to join our team at Travelport. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading our collections team and driving the timely collection of past due debtor balances from our agency and/or provider customers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the remote/in-house collections team, including defining targets, setting objectives, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Establish performance metrics for the 3rd party team and ensure skill and knowledge transfer.
  • Discuss progress and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics with the 3rd party and management.
  • Ensure regular communication with the 3rd party team to produce effective collection results and optimize efficiency.
  • Actively chase payments on key agency and/or provider accounts.
  • Ensure the timely collection of balances due from Travelport's global customers.
  • Produce monthly cash flow forecasts and report weekly actuals to treasury, including explanations of variances between forecast and actual.
  • Calculate and account for monthly bad debt provision.
  • Account for provider revenue deferrals provision and releases, and provide data to the revenue accounting team.
  • Review current processes and suggest possible improvements and/or changes.
  • Liaise with commercial to lead and coordinate collection efforts, bringing past due accounts to a current status.
  • Keep finance managers informed of seriously past due customers.
  • Prepare month-end reports for review and approval.
  • Month-end journal entries and approval.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations of AR accounts.
  • Production of GDS pack commentary on agency and provider AR accounts.
  • Maintain the write-off tracker as agreed with management.
  • Ensure that payments received into our bank account are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in collections, preferably with ICM qualification.
  • Previous experience in managing a successful team.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of Oracle AR would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The enthusiasm and drive to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to review processes and drive improvements and efficiencies.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
