Culinary Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team at Leonard Cheshire, a purpose-built residential care home for adults with physical disabilities. As a Cook, you will be responsible for delivering a varied menu that is healthy and nutritionally balanced, meeting specific dietary requirements for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals for our residents, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, food storage, and waste disposal.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Work within an agreed budget to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Participate in menu planning and development to meet the dietary needs of our residents.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably in a residential care setting.
- A recognized catering qualification, such as a Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate and HACCP accreditation.
- Flexibility to work within rostered hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
