Position Title: Electrical and Mechanical Technician

Location: Shrewsbury

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum

Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Job Overview:
The primary objective of this role is to enhance mechanical and electrical skills in the assembly, modification, and testing of products according to both company and client specifications. This position requires adherence to the timelines set forth in customer contracts and internal procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute mechanical and electrical assembly, modification, and repair of products to meet precise customer specifications.
2. Conduct fault diagnosis on all company products, including engines (diesel and petrol) and associated components.
3. Disassemble various products, engines, and components, ensuring they are cleaned and prepared to the required standards for reassembly.
4. Replace necessary parts to guarantee professional repairs and restore products to operational status.
5. Verify that all machine settings are accurate and that relevant testing is performed prior to dispatch.
6. Communicate with clients to assist with service, warranty claims, repairs, and refurbishments of equipment, maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
7. Perform service and emergency calls at customer locations as needed.
8. Complete all necessary documentation (Production PDI, Engineer Service Reports) in a timely manner.
9. Follow environmental best practices and ensure that spill kits are adequately stocked on-site and in service vehicles.
10. Assist in the delivery and collection of customer equipment.
11. Advise management on mechanical and electrical engineering needs.
12. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the workspace.
13. Attend training sessions as required.
14. Regularly communicate with internal supervision regarding progress, activities, and any issues encountered, along with suggested solutions.

• Ensure proper use and maintenance of all equipment and facilities within your area.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the department.
• Undertake additional reasonable tasks as requested by management.
