About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Manager to join our team at Safran. As a key member of our Supply Chain Leadership Team, you will be responsible for leading our Material Schedulers and ensuring that we have the correct materials on site at the right time for our production facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a positive and continuous improvement culture within the team, ensuring regular and effective 1-2-1's and annual appraisals.
- Contribute to and implement the Supply Chain strategy, deploying it through the team and ensuring everyone understands their role in the plan.
- Manage inventory levels, creating plans to resolve any imbalances and developing and reporting the inventory forecast.
- Work with the Supply Chain Leadership Team to measure, analyse and improve performance and impacts.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of purchasing data, liaising with internal teams and suppliers to maintain integrity.
- Meet with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, provide performance feedback and create, share and improve forecasts and capacity plans.
- Accountable for the management and reliability of inventories, determining how to increase stock turns, reduce waste and optimise customer service.
- Measure and analyse performance in line with BU defined metrics, managing the creation of relevant reports and analysing the root cause of missed metrics.
Requirements

- Team leadership
- Supplier Performance Management
- Proficiency in MRP & ERP
- CI or Lean Methodology
- CIPS qualification or working towards this
- Multi-Site Manufacturing
