We are seeking an ambitious Deputy General Manager to help run our tapas bar and restaurant in a bustling city centre. Our company, Baresca Tapas Family, focuses on delivering excellent fresh, flavour-packed tapas in a fun and vibrant atmosphere.
We are a small group of local restaurants and venues, including escabeche, Perkins Bar & Bistro and The Carriage Hall. This is a hands-on operational role where your main task will be managing the team to deliver superb customer experiences in a fast-paced environment. You will also assist the General Manager to profitably manage all aspects of the venue.
The main functions of the role are to take responsibility for:
- Customer Experience Management: Ensure that all customers have an exceptional experience, from the moment they walk in to the moment they leave.
- Day-to-Day Operations: Manage the day-to-day running of the venue, including staff management, inventory control, and maintenance.
- Staff Development and Performance: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team that delivers excellent customer service.
- Financial Performance: Assist the General Manager in managing the financial performance of the venue, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Legal Compliance: Ensure that the venue is compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Property and Grounds Management: Manage the maintenance and upkeep of the venue and its grounds.
The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, immaculately presented, have great people management skills, and a keen eye for detail. They will also be able to work well under pressure and as part of a team.

The annual package for this role is up to £37,200, including a salary of £31,200, performance-related pay, and gratuities. A 47-hour contract is available upon request, and the annual package will be adjusted accordingly.
