A prominent distributor specializing in chemical components for the European personal care sector is currently seeking a sales professional to enhance their accomplished team.


The ideal candidate will possess previous commercial experience from a personal care product manufacturer or a chemical distribution background. This role will adopt a hybrid working model, with the candidate expected to be located in the Buckinghamshire area.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivating a robust technical knowledge of our extensive range of Personal Care ingredients, including their chemical properties, advantages, and formulation attributes.
  • Assessing the specific requirements of each client.
  • Articulating scientific data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Assisting clients throughout their development journey, from initial concept to product launch.
  • Engaging with UK clients to foster long-term relationships with their R&D, Purchasing, and Marketing divisions.
  • Sustaining existing business and generating new opportunities within the client portfolio.
  • Collaborating with Technical Development Chemists to formulate new Personal Care products that showcase the advantages of our offerings.
  • Recognizing new business prospects.
  • Participating in relevant Cosmetic and Toiletry industry events, seminars, exhibitions, and symposiums to enhance knowledge of the Personal Care market.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • A solid scientific background, ideally with a degree in a scientific discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical sales or account management within a personal care product manufacturer or chemical distributor.
  • Capability to learn and grasp new technologies effectively.
  • A scientific mindset towards problem-solving.
  • Ability to perform under pressure.
  • A valid UK driving license.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.
